Front and centre is the Xmas Adventure, our tour for the festive season. You can book any of these tours as a team building event.
In teams, you puzzle your way through Getxo, collect points, and afterwards celebrate the team with the most points over dinner. The programme comes from myCityQuest, you choose the venue and menu yourselves.
A Christmas party in Getxo works best when you split the planning in two: you choose the restaurant, we bring the teams together before anyone sits down. That is what the puzzle tour does. It runs on the app, in teams, through the centre of Getxo — riddles, codes and photo challenges along the way, roughly four kilometres and about three hours on foot. The app sets the route, collects the answers, keeps the leaderboard, and the photos land in one shared gallery everybody can look back on later. A charged phone per team is all that is needed.
In Getxo you can choose between an Xmas Adventure, an Escape Game, a Murder Mystery Tour or a Treasure Hunt — four different ways of playing the same idea, past corners such as Palacio San Joseren, Palacio de Santa Clara in Algorta, the Galerías de Punta Begoña or the old Estación de salvamento de náufragos. The route is fixed for each tour, so no team can get lost, but how fast they move between stations is entirely up to them. Everyone plays against everyone, the team chat keeps the banter going, and the walk ends close enough to the restaurants of Getxo that there's barely a transition between game and dinner.
Prices start from $ 16.99 per person plus VAT. You pick the date and time when you book, and booking stays open up to two days before the event. Invoicing is by invoice, credit card or PayPal, always with a proper VAT invoice — the kind of detail that makes the rest of the planning straightforward.
Our customers come from a wide variety of sectors. Whether industry, retail, government or services: myCityQuest scavenger hunts are an excellent teambuilding event for your company outing, department party or team event - and that at 6,467 locations around the world.
How about a puzzle tour through Getxo with the myCityQuest app as the program before dinner? Your team heads out in small groups, solves challenges at landmarks across the city, and competes team against team for the top spot on the live leaderboard. Several themes are available, and the tour ends in time for the meal.
The tour comes before the meal: about three hours outdoors in Getxo, and everyone is back in time for dinner. You book the restaurant, and the program before it comes from myCityQuest. For the organizer, that leaves little more to do than picking the date and putting the teams together.
A Christmas party that starts out in the city instead of at the table: your company splits into teams and heads through Getxo before the meal, collecting points against the other teams. If a team gets stuck, a myCityQuest guide is just a chat message away. The date is yours to pick, even at short notice in December, and venue and menu stay entirely your decision.
The tour through Getxo is priced from $ 16.99 per person, and you receive an invoice for the booking. Food and drinks afterward are planned by you, so the budget for the evening stays in your hands.
Yes, in a single booking, split into teams that all start together. The price per person stays the same regardless of group size. Mixing departments when forming the teams works well and gets colleagues talking who otherwise rarely cross paths.
You choose the date and the time. The booking is valid for any day you like, in December just like the rest of the year, and the tour starts once the whole team has arrived. Short-notice bookings work too.
Around three hours. That makes it the first half of the evening: the tour first, then dinner with plenty to talk about.
The tour takes place outdoors in Getxo, and you can pause it at any point. If the rain gets heavy or the snow piles up, warm up somewhere dry and pick up right where you left off. Warm jackets and sturdy shoes are part of a Christmas party in December.
