Front and centre is the Xmas Adventure, our tour for the festive season. You can book any of these tours as a team building event.
In teams, you puzzle your way through Paraty, collect points, and afterwards celebrate the team with the most points over dinner. The programme comes from myCityQuest, you choose the venue and menu yourselves.
A Christmas party in Paraty works best when nobody has to choose between a good night out and a venue that already suits your team. With myCityQuest, that choice never comes up. We bring the programme, you bring the table — the puzzle tour runs through the centre of Paraty, and the restaurant you already have in mind is just a short walk from wherever the tour ends.
The puzzle tour is played in teams through our app. It shows the route, sets riddles, codes and photo challenges, collects the answers and keeps score as you go. Around four kilometres on foot, around three hours, past the likes of the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary and Saint Benedict and the Perpétuo Defensive Fort. Teams compete against each other, chat along the way, and watch the leaderboard shift as the points come in — all anyone needs is a charged phone. In Paraty, the format can be a Xmas Adventure, an Escape Game, a Murder Mystery Tour or a Treasure Hunt, depending on what sort of evening you're after. The route itself is fixed for each tour, but the pace is entirely up to the team.
Prices start from $ 16.99 per person plus VAT. You set the date and time when you book, and booking stays open up to two days before the event. Invoices, credit card and PayPal are all fine, and you'll always get a proper VAT invoice — so the only decision left is where in Paraty you're having dinner afterwards.
Our customers come from a wide variety of sectors. Whether industry, retail, government or services: myCityQuest scavenger hunts are an excellent teambuilding event for your company outing, department party or team event - and that at 6,467 locations around the world.
How about a puzzle tour through Paraty with the myCityQuest app as the program before dinner? Your team heads out in small groups, solves challenges at landmarks across the city, and competes team against team for the top spot on the live leaderboard. Several themes are available, and the tour ends in time for the meal.
The tour comes before the meal: about three hours outdoors in Paraty, and everyone is back in time for dinner. You book the restaurant, and the program before it comes from myCityQuest. For the organizer, that leaves little more to do than picking the date and putting the teams together.
A Christmas party that starts out in the city instead of at the table: your company splits into teams and heads through Paraty before the meal, collecting points against the other teams. If a team gets stuck, a myCityQuest guide is just a chat message away. The date is yours to pick, even at short notice in December, and venue and menu stay entirely your decision.
The tour through Paraty is priced from $ 16.99 per person, and you receive an invoice for the booking. Food and drinks afterward are planned by you, so the budget for the evening stays in your hands.
Yes, in a single booking, split into teams that all start together. The price per person stays the same regardless of group size. Mixing departments when forming the teams works well and gets colleagues talking who otherwise rarely cross paths.
You choose the date and the time. The booking is valid for any day you like, in December just like the rest of the year, and the tour starts once the whole team has arrived. Short-notice bookings work too.
Around three hours. That makes it the first half of the evening: the tour first, then dinner with plenty to talk about.
The tour takes place outdoors in Paraty, and you can pause it at any point. If the rain gets heavy or the snow piles up, warm up somewhere dry and pick up right where you left off. Warm jackets and sturdy shoes are part of a Christmas party in December.
