The Arena di Verona is a Roman amphitheatre from the 1st century AD located in the historic centre of Verona. Measuring 138 by 109 metres with 45 tiers seating 20,000 spectators, it ranks as the third-largest surviving ancient amphitheatre after the Colosseum and the Capua arena. Since 1913 it has regularly hosted opera performances and concerts.
Ponte Pietra is a Roman arch bridge with five arches spanning the Adige in Verona, built around 100 BC. Alberto della Scala rebuilt one arch and the watchtower in the Middle Ages.
